Some Advantages of VoIP

Ip telefoni - Telefoni leverer telefoniløsninger til danske virksomheder både som traditionelle prefix-løsninger og som komplette access-produkter.

With VoIP, instead of using traditional land lines to make voice calls, you use a broadband connection to the Internet. That allows you to bypass the telephone company (to a large degree) and thereby avoid their charges.

This also allows VoIP providers to bundle add-on services that regular phone companies charge for, such as voice mail, call forwarding, and call waiting. It is the digital nature of VoIP that makes this possible.

When you look at the numbers, VoIP services cost about half the cost of traditional phone services. One big reason is that many VoIP services in the United States and Canada allow you to call anywhere in North America at no extra charge. So long distance charges are completely eliminated. This is the cash cow of the traditional phone companies.

Of course as VoIP becomes more widespread and is generally adopted by major telcos and cable providers we can expect these fees to creep back in. Rogers Cable in Canada, for instance, offers free phoning across Canada only to other Rogers customers.
