Here are some more things you can do to optimize your Wordpress posts:

1. Wrap your blog name in an h1 tag in your stylesheet. In Wordpress your blog name usually appears in the header on every page. This is just standard SEO practice.

2. Set up your post titles correctly. This is probably the most important SEO tactic you can employ to give your posts more exposure. Each post actually has two different "titles" - the post title in the body of the post, and the page title that you see in the title bar of each post page.

First, install the SEO Title Tag plugin to allow you to make your page titles different from your post titles. This will allow you to create a page title for the search engines, and a post title for your human readers. They don't have to be different, but often they should be. Both should contain your primary target keyword, but while your post title should be written to get the attention of your readers, your page title can be more mechanical sounding because it is for the search engines.
